All fiscal sponsors engage in a type of co-management relationship with their projects. This relationship requires mutual trust and two-way “customer service”--both parties need to be respectful and responsive. Trust is a fickle thing; hard to earn and easily lost. Once it is lost it is difficult and sometimes impossible to earn back and without it, fiscal sponsorship doesn’t work well. Breakdowns in trust often stem from misunderstandings around expectations and miscommunications and coordination when something doesn’t go to plan. Join us for a conversation on how fiscal sponsor practitioners can develop and improve their expectation management practices and build a culture of “mutual customer service”.
