For this workshop conducted via PEAK Grantmaking, we’ll dive into policy and practice considerations specific to grantmakers, focusing on grants management. Grantmakers are reporting significant increases in the volume of fiscally sponsored grants, largely in response to the urgent need to support work centered on equity and social justice. While sponsored grants share similar considerations with conventional grants and non-sponsored projects, funders need to invest in orienting staff and adjusting policies and practices to be effective partners to sponsored projects. We will cover key fiscal sponsorship considerations over the whole arc of grantmaking: application design, review, and award management.
