Fiscal Sponsorship 2.0: The Case for Expanded Supports - Moving the Needle on Advocacy (Part I of II)

Comprehensive fiscal sponsors are known as providers of core “back office” functions: finance, HR, legal, compliance, ect. But more and more, fiscal sponsors are becoming true collective capacity builders, offering support well beyond the back office.  One such important area is advocacy where fiscal sponsors are well-positioned to support their sponsees in moving the needle to create systemic change.  Join us for a thought provoking conversation with Stephen Saloom who has spent his career working on progressive reform as we explore the potentially transformative intersection of fiscal sponsorship and advocacy. This session will examine how fiscal sponsors can support advocacy work of sponsees through direct services, systems, and staff.

This session is an Interview & Discussion relating to the subject of EFFICIENCY in our forthcoming position paper Reimagining the Sector - The Case for Fiscal Sponsorship. It is also Part I of a two part mini-series we’re partnering with Andrew Schulman and Oliver Hack’s Fiscal Sponsor Conversations on. Part II Advocacy During an Election Year takes place Sept 27th at 1:00 ET and features Mallory Morales from Bolder Advocacy.
